Its getting there

Today I felt Id turned a corner and I'm on the home stretch.
Coming into the foreground is always daunting but it's the part I love best and hopefully where the magic starts to happen.
I enjoy shaping the buildings and love to make the colours zing. The roof of the church is complicated as it is highly decorated with majolica tiles, and they could be very overwhelming if done in too much detail, so I tried to get the balance between actual and suggestion. I hope you like it. It may still be changed in the final stages but I'm leaving like this for now. To be honest I had three goes at it. Before calling it a day I painted the trunk of the palm tree. It gives me contemplation time to decide on where the branches are falling and how much background they cover etc.
