New painting!
The last few days have been full of website and social media postings, I feel I need to get back to my studio now and have a go at a new painting I've been contemplating.
Lots of ideas are milling around in my head at the moment and I wondered if you'd like to share my journey on this blog from inspiration to .... hopefully...the finished piece.
Positano, a gem on the Amalfi Coast, has inspired many artists over the years. I want to do a vibrant painting of the headland, but I know I face problems with the perspective and trying to include all of the important features. I use thumbnails to help me decide on my layout and I think artistic licence may be in order to allow me to tweak my composition.
Next preparation of the board, I've chosen quite a large canvas for this one......so here goes!
