A day out

I needed to top up my paint palette. My ultramarine blue had almost run out, so off to Sorrento on a buying trip. I bought Cyan blue last week but missed the depth of tone the ultramarine gives me and it's what you're used to at the end of the day!
I also needed an angle brush, No.12 to handle the foliage on the pine tree in the foreground of my painting. I'm quite worried about this aspect of the painting as it dominates the foreground and I want it to look as real as I can.
It was a beautiful morning. I remember thinking it was perfect picture taking weather, clear and bright. I had my ipad with me and it does take decent snaps. It was a fantastic opportunity to take more pictures of pine trees, maybe help me with the task I faced. To be honest it was lovely to walk around Sorrento, mingle with the tourists enjoying the views and get some exercise at the same time. I came home feeling great and also with some fresh ideas for future works of art! Here are a few snaps for you to share.
